Stories Under The Stars: Growing Freedom

Please join us in the garden for Stories Under The Stars: Growing Freedom and with a Story from our guest Speaker Scott Satterwhit - University of West Florida English Professor and veteran. 

Modeled after The Moth Stories, this event invites individuals to share their own stories with the community.

The theme is Growing Freedom and so your story can be about anything to do with your interpretation of Growing Freedom.

The guidelines are:

  • Stories must be original and must be your personal story

  • Stories cannot be read from any paper or device.

  • Stories 5-minute minute cap

  • Stories must stay within the theme

  • Stories should NOT include hate talk, discrimination, strong vested opions or preaching.

For all you competitive individuals we will have  a Judge's Award that is picked by our panel of judges. Winners will receive a gift card to Red Fish Blue Fish.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the event starts at 6:00 p.m.

Popcorn, drinks and garden merchandise will be sold before and during the event.

While the event is free, donations are encouraged. Proceeds will benefit From The Ground Up Community Garden, a project of The Hive, Innisfree Hotels corporate social responsibility program.

This event is Co-Sponsored by the UWF Kugelman Honors Program and the UWF Community Garden.

*No dogs are allowed in the garden. Please wear closed-toe shoes.
